The link between Identity and Sex

There is a link between your identity and what you think about sex. How successful you are sexually will impact how you view sexuality ideologically. Many people's beliefs about sex will in part be a reaction to their own experience and sexual identity, and either be a way of coping or explaining their experience.

In many ways too your belief about yourself will filter into your expression of and experience of sex. You can think of it as almost a subliminal influence on everything you think and believe and behave - your sexual identity influences and alters your sexual beliefs, either for good or for ill.

There's something there that inextricably link the two, probably because of how God made us, and how we are created for another - think JP2's mutual gift of self, and the Adam and Eve story, and the fact that man was not made to be alone.
