The Relationship Between Purity and Courage

In the Sorrowful Mysteries of the Rosary:

The fruit of the second mystery is purity

The fruit of the third mystery is courage.

Is it any coincidence that courage follows from purity? Almost certainly not. In a recent study, those who were given exogenous testosterone cared less what others thought about them, and displayed less socially conforming behavior.

In other words, men are specifically blessed by God with an ability to do what is right, regardless of the consequences or judgment of others. And specifically, the higher-T a man is, the more he is able to follow God alone and do what he believes/knows is right.

So if you're gooning all the time, wasting your testosterone, then you will be hindered in how courageous you can be, because you will be lower T.

In other words, courage follows from purity
