If you haven't seen the video, you should watch it. Reposted by the host of Avoiding Babylon, who for some reason can't see what's wrong with the video - https://x.com/Catholicizm1/status/2089770052513911090?s=20
Well let's go through it real quickly, shall we?
- He's sitting down
- He's smoking a cigar
- He's relaxing
- You can hear the whine in his voice (eeeeiiiiither)
- He's complaining and lecturing his wife harshly - (Colossians 3:19), who is clearly upset
- Mocking her
- Telling her to put on gloves like a slave - don't let the traitors to the Patriarchy confuse the issue. The ability to command is very very different from the failure to command properly. I have mostly absolute power over my employees in terms of telling them what to do. But I would never treat them the way Stephen treats his wife here. And he's supposed to love her.
- Accuses her of being disenguous (clear projection)
- A leader doesn't sit on a couch, smoking a cigar, berating his follower (his pregnant wife) to put on gloves and walk the dog. If you don't see the disgusting aesthetic of that I don't know what to tell you
The love for a Husband and his wife should parallel that of Christ for his Church. We don't need to uphold as an exemplar Patriarch a man who can't do that - there's no use in talking about a Wife's duty to obey when you're dealing with something as sick as what we saw Crowder doing.
Crowder tells his pregnant wife to take an Uber because he wants the car. But why can't he take the Uber? I've been taking Ubers the past two months I've been without a car, and I earn far less than Stephen Crowder (for now).
The whole thing is very bizarre and makes a sort of sick form of abusive control completely plausible (I mean, it's right on the screen) - A man as famous as Stephen Crowder can afford two cars. Why doesn't he have another car, and why does he have to force his pregnant wife to take an Uber? Becuase he's a sick control freak, and a failed leader.
He's whining on camera. Why is it on Camera? Who cares? He was caught whining on Camera because he whines at home to his wife. I'm just a simple incel, but you wouldn't catch me dead on camera saying any of that shit (well ok you might catch me dead, if I despaired of forgiveness and commited suicide out of shame of doing something so disgusting).
Saying I don't love you to your wife? If there were an unforgivable sin, this would be it (the only unforgivable sin, for the record, is final unrepentance). There is simply no excuse for ever saying this to your wife. Like what the actual fuck? And throwing a hissy fit becuase she's upset and won't put on gloves and walk the dog? I'm not sure what the complete context is there, but throwing a temper tantrum because your pregnant wife won't do the manual labor you command is just contemptible.
I don't know, how about you get off your ass Stephen and walk the dog yourself? You can even take your cigar with you. Instead he sits down with a cigar, life timed to the T - yea bud, except you're not just responsible for yourself and your physique. You're responsible for your wife, her feelings, and her being pregnant, and your future child. You as a man are respnsible for taking care of your Wife's feelings.
Crowder has timed his life so well, and yet is such a bad leader he couldn't buy himself an uber, hug his wife, tell her I love you, for the sake of his unborn baby who now will grow up in a broken home.
A good leader doesn't get divorced because he verbally abuses his wife - she's there to help and support you, and is like your own body. You shouldn't say to yourself that you don't love yourself, and shouldn't treat yourself (and Crowder doesn't) treat himself like he treated his wife. Completely beyond the pale.
The people supporting Crowder because of the Patriarchy need to stop shaming the Patriarchy. Yes the husband is the leader. But we're not going to restore the patriarchy by looking to such a failed leader as Stephen Crowder
